A healthy body is a strong body. A child cannot reach his or her maximum potential with a failing health. In all our efforts we try to ensure that majority of the children we deal with are in proper health condition.

Those found to have serious conditions are normally refered to friendly facilities that can provide them with much needed medication. Through our routine medical camps we carry about sensitisation about infectious diseases, sexually transmitted diseases and those brought about by poor sanitation.

We incorporate emphasis on good personal hygiene and sanitation too..

Our Causes

DRUG ABUSE ERADICATION

This is the toughest hindrances we face in our journey to right the path of street connected children that tend to be derailed off a normal child's behavior as they are lured into the drug abuse vice. The abuse of drugs has been detrimental to continued deterioration of morality and health of the children. They majorly abuse substances like aviation fuel, glue, marijuana among others. In our struggle to reduce on the adverse effects of this situation, we have set up a counseling module to help the children with the moral support to stop using drugs. This vice is the most dangerous and addictive challenge on many lives. Join us to fight this vice killing kids.

EDUCATION - SKILL TRAINING

Education empowers kids minds to make critical choices with the knowledge and information to them. It is the key that unlocks one's potential as they are able to make informed decisions basing on the information at their disposal. Wisdom might go along way but with education the mile is complete. This explains why we are very passionate and led. Many of the kids once we are able to enroll them into schools. With kids having a chance to study and better their lives not only make us proud but changes the whole community at large so join us to change them together. ADVOCACY

To speak for and create awareness about the plight and challenges faced by the street children is a crucial step in reducing the influx of children on the streets. We try and sensitize the masses where these children come from and the communities they inhabit. It takes a village to raise a child and so we involve all those responsible plus calling them up to join us, see how best to reach out to the street children, design better measures of resettling and helping them from their homes. This is one of the most demanding programs especially with the challenges that come with it. Join us in this long fight.

ARTS AND CULTURE

The quality and steadiness of one's life can be based on one's roots and how connected they are to them. We embrace the diversity in our cultures as we live in a multi-cultural society. The beauty of our languages, music, tales and dances is therapeutic. We invite children to learn about the dances, songs and it is so much fun when they sing and dance to the beats of their own roots. With the two wins in the music competitions we surely have done great and witnessed wonderful results of change from the children. Music heals, provides therapeutic and allows them a chance to create and learn and our musical instruments at the shelter have helped us so greatly.
